2010 World YoYo Contest Recent Email Updates
Email sent 8/3/2010:
A few other things to pay attention to:
Friday will be old yo-yo contest T-Shirt day.
Wear the oldest yo-yo contest t-shirt you can still fit into. We're going to have an unoffical contest to figure out the person with the oldest yo-yo event shirt, and the person with the oldest WYYC shirt. The prize will be the shirt off my back. Yes Greg's 2010 staff shirt (or one much like it in your size if you want).
Art Show
We will be doing another art show some time on Saturday. Time to be announced. Bring art you want to show. Art by yo-yo players, art about yo-yos or art you have just made. You can sell your art if you want, or not. Information about when and where will be in the program.
Wheel of Penalty.
Mark Hayward will be back to host the Wheel of Penalty. This year it'll be teams. 10pm Thursday night.
2009 Year Book.
Nana from Japan has put together a photo year book of the 2009 contest. 7"x7" and at 120 pages, this limited book will be on sale at worlds. For more information please go here.
Streaming.
You can't make it? Well Tim will be back to stream the worlds video to your computer, start to finish coverage will be on Justin TV and probably another streaming service as well. Check back at www.worldyoyocontest.com or watch for an e-mail for an update.
Pre-Registration.
Pre registration will go down sometime between tomorrow and friday. The time will be determined by when we need to start converting the data so we can register you at the door. In short, if you can register on-line, it's not too late. If you can't, well it means we've taken it down. So if you have not registered yet register here.
Tuesday Night Get Together.
Jake and I will be coming in Tuesday Night. If you are at the Rosen too, find us in the lobby and hang out with us and the hotel guests who we will confuse.
More updates soon, especially about the 1964 Duncan national yo-yo contest re-do.
The medals are off to the engraver, the trophies have been cast out of aluminum by our friends at the Mill Street Foundry. We're almost there folks.
See you in Orlando.
Best Wishes
Gregory Cohen
