Off String (4A) - Yo-Yo unattached to string

1. Toss and Catch (5 rep; above head) [See MPG4 Video]
Throw a Forward Pass Mount. The yo-yo will be in an Open Hold with each hand holding one end of the string. Toss yo-yo off the string, above your head, and catch the yo-yo back in an Open Hold. (Alternatively, you may grab both ends of the string with one hand and spread the ring with your Freehand index finger forming a Ring Hold. From this hold you may "change lanes" during the tosses, if you wish, and catch the yo-yo on either the top or bottom string segment.) Toss and catch for total of 5 or more reps. Wind string and catch yo-yo.

2. String Release (3 rep) [See MPG4 Video]
Throw Forward Pass Mount. The yo-yo will be in an Open Hold with each hand holding one end of the string. Swing yo-yo so it starts to rotate around one hand (the Throwhand), release the other end of the string, like a Suicide, and grab string with your Freehand as it completes the rotation to complete the first rep. Perform a total of 3 or more reps. Wind string and catch yo-yo.

3. Whip Catch (2 rep; over whip) [See MPG4 Video]
Throw Forward Pass Mount. The yo-yo will be in an Open Hold with each hand holding one end of the string. Grab both ends of the string with one hand and form a ring. Spread the ring with your Freehand index finger and toss the yo-yo out of the Ring Hold and catch it back in the hold with an "Over Whip" just like you would perform an Iron Whip catch. No "Under Whip" catches will be allowed. Repeat once more. Wind string and catch yo-yo. You may catch the yo-yo on either side of the ring (i.e. lane changes allowed.)

4. Back Burner (2 rep) [See MPG4 Video]
Throw Forward Pass Mount. The yo-yo will be in an Open Hold with each hand holding one end of the string. Now hold string in either an Open Hold or a Ring Hold. Then swing the yo-yo backwards under your Throwhand arm and toss the yo-yo up and over your arm, off the string, and catch yo-yo back on the string in an Open Hold. Repeat once more. Wind string and catch yo-yo.

5. Behind the Back Catch (Any way is OK) [See MPG4 Video]
Throw Forward Pass Mount. The yo-yo will be in an Open Hold with each hand holding one end of the string. Toss yo-yo up off the string and catch yo-yo in a behind the back Open Hold. You can go from the front hold to back hold anyway you want and use any method to catch the yo-yo. Wind string and catch yo-yo.

6. Sen Poppin (3 rep) [See MPG4 Video]
Throw Forward Pass Mount. The yo-yo will be in an Open Hold with each hand holding one end of the string. Grab both ends of the string with one hand and form a ring. Spread the ring with your Freehand index finger forming a Ring Hold. With a vertical Boingy-Boingy type motion toss the yo-yo from the bottom segment of the Ring Hold to the top segment. Switch hands back and forth as in a Pop n’ Fresh with your Freehand going over your Throwhand just as the yo-yo hits the top string segment. Each rep consist of one pop with hands uncrossed followed by a pop with hands crossed. Complete 6 pops for a total of 3 reps. Wind string and catch yo-yo. String hit misses or extra string hits without switching hands will be considered as a miss.
